Thank you for standing with us in 2020. We are incredibly grateful for each purchase and we are incredibly humbled that you continue to spend your money and time with us.
We have 2021 news! Our new name is Church Alley Cafe & Grocery!
This is a very organic evolution and a decision partly made in 2017 when we moved to our current location. We greatly expanded our food menu and began selling our own product line.
We originally opened, in 2013, as a pour over bar with a beautiful mosaic bar to showcase our distinct style. Hence the "coffee bar" in the name. While 2020 might have forced our hand a bit, the new name better reflects our evolution over 8 years.
We hope you love the evolved Church Alley Cafe & Grocery!
It was the pandemic that gave us an opportunity to fast track our plans for a fuller Church Alley branded pantry line and a larger retail section. You can now take home our granola, teas, salad dressings, cookie dough, and bagels. (The grocery part)
The main area of the shop where most of our tables were will continue to hold most of our retail section as it has since COVID hit. When we allow customers to sit inside again, this area will continue to be our grocery section, with tables added to the areas that are now closed.
We will be bringing on even more kitchen retail items, including even more Church Alley branded products. Also coming in the next few weeks, a brand new website for easier online ordering, bottles of our delicious syrups, ice cream featuring Church Alley flavors, and grab and go snacks for when you are in a hurry. Plus items we love from small businesses all over the Gulf Coast.
Our future looks just like our present. Deeply committed to nourishing, empowering, and serving New Orleans and the Gulf Coast.
